The University of Rochester Simon Business School is expanding its reach through a new set of academic partnerships aimed at accelerating the path to graduate business education.
Under its 4+1 Business Master’s Pathway program, URochester has teamed up with five institutions: SUNY Geneseo, Ursinus College, Union College, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and The College of Wooster.
The initiative allows students at these schools to secure early conditional admission to Simon and complete a master’s degree in business in just one year following their undergraduate studies. The program spans high-demand disciplines including accounting, artificial intelligence in business, business analytics, finance and marketing analytics.
Beyond speed, the pathway is structured to reduce traditional barriers to graduate education, university leaders said.
Students receive a guaranteed tuition scholarship covering at least 30 percent, benefit from waived application fees, and are not required to submit GRE or GMAT scores. Participants also gain early access to Simon’s career infrastructure, including workshops and individualized coaching, giving them a head start on professional development before arriving on campus.
“These partnerships reflect our shared commitment to expanding access to high-quality graduate education,” said Nicole Sampson, URochester provost. “By working with these outstanding partner institutions, we are enabling talented students to transition more easily from undergraduate to graduate study and prepare for successful careers with a Simon degree.”
