NAIOP rebrands to Commercial Real Estate Development Association

Commercial Real Estate Development Association logoThe local organization has followed the rebranding lead of the national organization and is now the Development Association () — Chapter.

The trade organization is comprised of real estate developers, property owners, architectural firms and investors. The new name more accurately depicts the organization’s purpose.

The upstate chapter serves the Buffalo, , Syracuse and Albany regions.

“The rebranding will enhance our identity across the Upstate New York region as we continue to significantly ramp up our advocacy efforts at the local, state and federal levels,” , CREDA chapter president, said in a news release.

“The new brand doesn’t bog us down in explaining who we are … allowing us to focus on our discussions with elected officials on the issues that impact the sector.”

The employment of approximately 125,000 workers across upstate is tied to the CRE industry, the group says.

CREDA provides communication, networking and business opportunities for real estate professionals; presents a forum for continuing education; presents a forum for continuing education; and promotes effective public policy.
