A $500,000 gift from The Mucci Family Foundation is expanding mental health services for students at St. John Fisher University through the creation of a new clinical treatment coordinator position and additional wellness support resources.
The gift establishes The Mucci Family Foundation Clinical Treatment Coordinator Fund, providing dedicated funding for a key role within the university’s integrated Health and Wellness Center. The clinical treatment coordinator will work with students facing mental health and medical challenges, helping connect them with services and resources that support their well-being and academic success.
The investment comes as colleges and universities nationwide respond to growing demand for mental health services among young adults. In addition to supporting the new position, the gift will help address other priority mental health needs on campus.
The foundation is led by longtime Fisher supporters Martin and Darcy Mucci. Marty Mucci, a 1981 Fisher graduate and a former president and CEO of Paychex, previously served on the university’s Board of Trustees, including a term as chair. The couple are members of Fisher’s Spire Society Leadership Giving Society and have supported several major university initiatives over the years.
University leaders said the gift will strengthen Fisher’s ability to provide comprehensive support services while helping students thrive both personally and academically.
