Rochester Institute of Technology and the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences have established a new academic pathway that will provide qualified RIT students with opportunities to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or a Master of Science in pharmaceutical sciences.

Under the agreement, two eligible RIT students each year will be guaranteed an admissions interview for UB’s PharmD program and assured admission to the MS in pharmaceutical sciences program, provided they meet all application and admissions requirements.

“This partnership with UB creates an exciting pathway for our RIT scholars to advance into pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences careers while building on the strong scientific foundation they receive at RIT,” said André Hudson, dean of RIT’s College of Science. “We are proud to collaborate with UB to expand opportunities for our scholars and strengthen the future workforce.”

The agreement builds on a longstanding relationship between the institutions and creates a more seamless path for students to continue their education and careers in the field.

UB School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Dean Gary Pollack said the partnership further strengthens ties between the institutions and will help attract talented RIT students to UB’s graduate programs.
