Jewish Home has welcomed the first residents of Lilac Grove, marking the completion of a new 90-unit apartment community designed for adults ages 62 and older.
Located on Jewish Home’s 75-acre campus off Meridian Centre Boulevard at Winton Road in Brighton, the four-story development was created to address the growing demand for housing options for older adults as the nation’s Baby Boomer population continues to age.
The community offers a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments, each equipped with nine-foot ceilings, double-wide walk-in showers, in-unit washers and dryers, granite countertops and kitchen islands, as well as video doorbells supported by 24-hour campus security.
Additional amenities include a community room, exercise facility, outdoor pickleball court, full emergency-power generator, a 40-vehicle carport and EV charging stations.
Lilac Grove residents receive priority access to Jewish Home’s continuum of care services, including physician services, outpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing and home-care support.
Interest in the development has been strong, with more than one-third of the apartments leased before the doors officially opened.
“Lilac Grove was created in response to the growing population of older adults in Monroe County and the housing that is needed for our aging population,” said Michael S. King, Jewish Home president and CEO. “Lilac Grove will enable Jewish Home to further serve older adults and help them to live their best lives through our continuum of care.”
