For the second year in a row, Jewish Home has been ranked the #1 large-sized nursing home in New York state on Newsweek‘s America’s Best Nursing Homes 2026 list.
The ranking is based on four metrics: performance data, peer evaluations, accreditations and resident satisfaction.
“Making the list of America’s Best Nursing Homes for five consecutive years and now being recognized twice as #1 in New York State is a testament to the high level of medical care and compassion we provide at Jewish Home,” said Michele Schirano, senior vice president and administrator at Jewish Home.
The America’s Best Nursing Homes 2026 winners were recognized in three categories based on size: large (150+ certified beds), medium (100-149 certified beds) and small (50-99 certified beds).
Also making the best large-sized nursing homes list in New York were Friendly Senior Living in Rochester (6) and Episcopal Church Home in Rochester (34).
Local facilities that made the best medium-sized nursing homes list were Aaron Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Fairport (2), the Edna Tina Wilson Living Center in Rochester (6) and the Wegman Family Cottages at Park Ridge Living Center (7).
In addition, The Maplewood in Webster ranked second on the best small-sized nursing homes list.
