SUNY announces nearly $4M in new funding to campuses in Rochester region

Two State University of New York campuses in the Rochester region will get an increase in state aid as part of the FY2025-2026 enacted .  

As a result, will receive an additional allocation of nearly $2.2 million, and will get an additional $1.5 million.  

The local allocations were part of a package that increased operating aid by $114 million across state-operated SUNY campuses.  

“This year’s budget continues a historic investment in New York’s public higher system – one that will bring essential support to our students and faculty,” SUNY Chancellor John King Jr. said. “These resources ensure SUNY’s continued affordability and invest in our academic and research excellence … and this funding strengthens our ability to promote student success and advance upward mobility.”
