What do you enjoy most about your role?

Working with my team to solve problems. Discovery in litigation can be an expensive and overwhelming process for the parties and lawyers involved, and it is very important to me that our clients know they have a trusted advisor working to get them the best result possible. I have been fortunate enough to find a group of like-minded individuals to support that mission. Our team of professionals provides unparalleled services in this field, and is focused on making the discovery process more efficient and accessible for our clients.

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve dealt with over the past year?

Need I say it? PANDEMIC!! I feel blessed that we have a team of professionals who were able to stay healthy and focused throughout the unprecedented challenges that faced us over the past year. We were able to transition remarkably smoothly to remote services and continue with our operations despite the innumerable challenges brought about by the pandemic.

What do you see as the biggest changes in the legal industry in the next 3-5 years?

Like most industries, disruptive technologies like artificial intelligence and computer learning systems are having, and will increasingly have, a huge impact on the way law is practiced. The manner and tools used in the provision of services that were traditionally provided exclusively by lawyers is being altered such that non-lawyers and technological solutions will continue to play a larger and larger role in the practice of law. This will be both exciting and challenging to navigate for our lawyers of tomorrow.

What advice would you give law students who are graduating this year?

Come talk to me about electronic discovery! In an increasingly specialized industry, electronic discovery is a unique specialty that touches almost every type of litigated matter in some way. There is a growing need for attorneys who are fluent in data technology tools and practices to address these needs.

What are you most looking forward to doing as COVID restrictions ease?

Without question, getting our team back together physically. Our attorneys have done a remarkable job persevering through this pandemic and it will be very satisfying to shake some hands and give some face-to-face recognition of this incredible achievement.
