May 8 — Goodwill of the Finger Lakes hosted its 2026 Hope in Bloom Gala at the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa, raising more than $325,000 to support its community-based programs and services across Rochester and the Finger Lakes region. The signature, sold-out event brought together community members partners and supporters to celebrate the life-changing impact of Goodwill’s mission, including the critical programs that helped more than 171,000 people and their families last year.
All event proceeds directly support Goodwill Learning Academy, 211/LIFE LINE, Goodwill Vision Services, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, Good Neighbor and other workforce development opportunities. The evening was emceed by News 8’s Adam Chodak and featured two honorary awards recognizing distinguished local leaders. Recently retired ESL Federal Credit Union President & CEO Faheem Masood received the Good Neighbor Award, and Flaum Eye Institute’s David DiLoreto, M.D., Ph.D., received the Dr. Gwen Sterns Visionary Award.
