June 6 — The Seneca Park Zoo Society hosted nearly 500 guests at the annual Zoobilation gala presented by LeChase. One of the region’s most creative and unique fundraisers, Zoobilation takes place at Seneca Park Zoo and features dining areas alongside animal habitats, a strolling cocktail hour that winds between sea lions and penguins, animal experiences and conservation games, and plenty of opportunities for guests to support the Zoo Society’s conservation and eco-education programs.
This year, Zoobilation hit record levels of generosity from sponsors and guests alike, including Honorary Chairs Jill and Marty Birmingham, CEO of Five Star Bank. The Stand for Conservation cash call and Live Auction brought the night to a thrilling close, thanks to hosts Joe Lomonaco and Nikki Rudd.
Net proceeds over $250,000 raised at Zoobilation are essential to beloved programs like Community Clean-ups, Naturalist chats, the Nature Cart, ZooMobile, Butterfly Beltway pollinator gardens, and many more.
