Rochester Rotary is accepting nominations for the Rochester Rotary Award, the oldest and most prestigious civic honor in the Rochester community.
The award recognizes individuals who exemplify Rotary International’s motto, “Service Above Self.”
Honorees are community members who demonstrate exceptional civic spirit, positively impact the lives of many, serve as role models and share their wisdom and knowledge to empower others. Nominees and nominators do not need to be Rotarians.
The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, Feb. 13. The award will be presented at a ceremony in early June.
Nominations can be submitted here and include no more than three letters of support in addition to the completed form.
This year marks the 87th anniversary of the Rochester Rotary Award.
Past recipients include B. Thomas Golisano, Al Sigl, Joseph Wilson, Marion Folsom, Ritter Shumway, Constance Mitchell, Burton August, Don Alhart, Dr. Walter Cooper, R. Carlos Carballada, Joan and Harold Feinbloom, Dr. Ralph Pennino, James Isaac, Andrew and Karen Gallina, David Flaum, Victor Salerno, Paul DeCarolis, Dr. Vito Quatela, Howard Konar, Elaine Spaull and Justin Vigdor.
