Joe Bean Roasters has been roasting its own coffee for close to two decades and now the Rochester-based company is adding a private label service.

will focus on custom coffee creation and . The new service targets companies that are looking to outsource and packaging needs.

said the service lessens the unpredictability of the coffee market, especially as tariffs impact prices, and allows firms to tap into their sourcing relationships.

“We have spent years building a reliable network of coffee farmers, as well as refining our production efficiencies,” Ben Turiano, product director at Joe Bean Rosters, said in a news release. “Our desire in starting Tailor Fit Coffee Solutions was to use all our expertise and connections to help other business owners.”

Tailor Fit will guide clients through the process from start to finish, including the management of online logistics through pick-pack-ship services.

Joe Bean Roasters already has experience with contract manufacturing. The new private label service grew out of participation in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Initiative, which helps entrepreneurs identify growth opportunities.

The target audience would include retailers and those in the hospitality industry that desire custom, branded lines of coffee who want to skip self production.

“With the complications these days in sourcing and the increased expense of roasting equipment, getting into the coffee roasting game has more barriers than ever before, so some companies are choosing to outsource it,” said Kathy Turiano, business development director at Joe Bean Coffee.
