St. John Fisher tops $139M in record fundraising campaign
St. John Fisher University has completed the largest comprehensive fundraising campaign in its history, surpassing its $75 million goal to raise a total of $139 million.
The Fisher Forward campaign, which launched its public phase in 2019 following a quiet phase that began in 2015, drew support from more than 12,000 donors.
Funds raised through the campaign led to $26 million in new scholarships and helped more than double the university’s endowment—from $75 million in 2015 to over $161 million today.
The campaign focused on four key priorities:
- Securing Fisher’s future through endowment growth, including scholarships
- Enhancing the campus through modernization and facility renovations
- Shaping the student experience through experiential learning opportunities, and
- Creating immediate impact via the Fisher Fund, which provides flexible support for individualized educational experiences.

Rooney, university president. “The transformational impact of Fisher Forward is symbolic of what Fisher has always stood for: a future-focused institution rooted in values and supported by so many who believe in its mission.”
