Monroe County offering grants to mid-sized arts organizations

Monroe County will again provide grants to mid-sized to offset 2026 operating expenditures.

Funding will be based on the number of qualifying applications.

To be eligible, an organization must:

• Conduct at least 50 percent of operations and have a physical location in ;

• Have been legally recognized as a 501(c)(3), or limited liability company with a tax filing, for at least one year;

• Have a primary mission directly related to . Event spaces, sports teams, leagues and tournaments are not eligible;

• Have an operating budget between $50,000 and $4 million (the previous range was ($100,000-$1.5 million).

“Monroe County recognizes the crucial role that local arts organizations play in our economy and our quality of life,” County Executive said in a news release. “These investments help stabilize organizations and ensure that we proudly remain a community of the arts.”

Applications and more information is available on the county website. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Aug. 21.

A virtual training session for interested organizations will take place at noon on Thursday. A replay of the session will be available.
