NextCorps launches AI Startup Jam to turn ideas into working prototypes

is hosting an AI Jam from Oct. 24–26, a weekend event designed to help individuals and teams turn software startup ideas into functioning prototypes—no coding required. 

Made possible through the Springboard Prize Competition with support from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation, the event will guide participants through AI-powered product , collaborative build sprints, mentorship, networking and peer learning—all aimed at accelerating their startup journey. 

At the end of the weekend, participants can pitch their software concepts to a panel of judges for a chance to win cash prizes and in-kind services, including a $1,000 grand prize. 

Eligibility requirements include: 

  • Must be 18+ and either a Western New York resident or currently enrolled in college in Western New York 
  • Must attend the full weekend: Friday evening, Oct. 24 – Sunday, Oct. 26 
  • Must have a new software product idea (no pre-built or in-progress projects), and
  • Must have or bring a laptop (limited loaner laptops available).

“AI tools are making it faster and easier to turn ideas into real products,” said Matt Foley, managing director of Incubation Services at NextCorps. “The AI Startup Jam is a unique opportunity for anyone with a software idea to build, test and get expert feedback in just one weekend.” 

Applications open Sept. 24 and close Friday, Oct. 10.
