A Michigan-based manufacturer specializing in roofing and exterior building products has acquired Genesee Building Products.

Headquartered in the Genesee County town of Stafford, Genesee Building Products will become a part of the Quality Edge family when the deal formally closes on July 14.

Founded in 1996 in Batavia, Genesee Building Products initially carried only aluminum drip and rake edge but now has an expanded product line that includes trim coil and rainware products as well as aluminum, steel and copper roof edges.

Quality Edge is based in Walker, Michigan, and is a subsidiary of MISA, a fully integrated network of metal processing and manufacturing facilities.

Genesee Building Products managing partner Ron Wheeler “has been a cornerstone in this market for 20 years,” Scott Rasmussen, president of Quality Edge, said in a news release. “We are honored to carry on his legacy of service and quality.

“This acquisition allows us to continue his tradition while infusing new energy and resources into the business.”

Quality Edge has facilities in Grand Rapids, Michigan; Savannah, Georgia; and Dallas.
