What are the greatest challenges women in leadership experience? Are more challenges external or internal?

Women in leadership face both external and internal challenges. Externally, biases and systemic barriers still exist, making it essential to advocate for ourselves and each other. Internally, self-doubt can be a major obstacle. Women often hesitate to self-promote or take up space in leadership conversations.

Overcoming these challenges requires confidence, mentorship, and a commitment to lifting others up.

Mentorship is so important to women in the workforce these days. Do you mentor other women through a specific program?

Yes, mentorship is a priority for me, both formally and informally. I actively support women through structured firm initiatives and everyday guidance.

Whether it’s coaching on career development or simply being a sounding board, I believe mentorship should be about building confidence, providing honest feedback, and opening doors for the next generation of leaders.

What valuable career lesson or lessons would you like to share with others?

Leadership is about understanding people. The most effective leaders prioritize relationships, ensuring those around them feel valued and heard. Seeking strong mentors, stepping outside your comfort zone, and continuously learning are key to long-term success.

What advice would you give to the next generation of female leaders?

Be confident, be authentic, and own your value. Seek out mentors who challenge and support you, and don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself. Leadership isn’t a race—it’s a journey, and your path should be uniquely yours.
