RHM Innovations Inc. was awarded $50,000 for the development of its assistive shower system. The company creates solutions to assist individuals with activities of daily living.

The competition – where 12 entrepreneurs competed – was held during the New York state Innovation summit, where over 500 people gathered to learn and share their views for the future of technology development.

A panel of four expert judges selected the best seven projects to award a total of $450,000.

Binghamton-based Ashlawn Energy won the grand prize award of $150,000. The other six companies each received a $50,000 investment to further develop their prototypes.

“We are proud to work alongside these entrepreneurs and continually support them as they progress on their journeys,” said Elena Garuc, FuzeHub’s executive director. “It is so gratifying to see them grow; we are fostering relationships and strengthening the community of people actively pursuing new ways to solve modern problems.”
