Downtown Definitely events feature midday bashes, movies and the RPO
The Downtown Definitely events series returns for a second year, featuring midday bashes, Movies with a Downtown View and an RPO Under the Stars concert.
Under the direction of the Rochester Downtown Development Corp. and sponsored by Buckingham Properties, Gallina Development and VIDA, as well as the city of Rochester, the events are free and meant to showcase what downtown has to offer.
Midday bashes begin June 7 and take place every other week, through Sept. 20. They run 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and feature food trucks, massage chairs, musical entertainment, games and giveaways.
There are once-a-month Movies with a Downtown View. June 16 features Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever; July 21 is The Goonies; Aug. 25 will be Disney-Pixar’s Soul; and Sept. 8 is Top Gun: Maverick. Events begin at 7 p.m., with the movie starting at dusk.
The RPO Under the Stars is set for July 7 and will run from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Play Day on the Riverway will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 5 at the Rundel Memorial Library North Terrace. Fall Fest is set for Oct. 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
