NY Small Business Development Center to honor founder of Rochester skin care brand
Danielle King, founder of Skinmuvaa and Skyn Therapy Wellness Spa, will be honored with the New York Small Business Development Center’s Veteran Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
The award recognizes outstanding veteran entrepreneurs who have demonstrated business leadership, resilience and a commitment to strengthening their communities.
King, a U.S. Army veteran, launched her business in 2018 and rebranded in 2023. Along the way she has received support and business advice from the Finger Lakes Small Business Development Center (FLSBDC) at SUNY Brockport.
With experience as a licensed practical nurse and esthetician, King founded Skinmuvaa and Skyn Therapy Wellness Spa to provide ethical results-driven skin care through a steroid-free, restorative brand.
The next step in her entrepreneurial journey will be the opening of a brick-and-mortar spa and manufacturing space, according to the FLSBDC.
King will be honored Tuesday by leaders from the Finger Lakes and New York SBDC, as well as the Veterans Outreach Center.
