Years in current role: 26 with the firm; 18 as Partner
What changes in the legal industry do you believe will have the biggest impact on clients over the next few years?
AI is greatly enhancing the efficient delivery of our legal services. Our firm has integrated cutting-edge AI platforms to streamline review of documents and transcripts. We’ve also deployed sophisticated natural language research tools capable of analyzing complex legal concepts, context and intent with transformative efficiency.
What is one challenge currently facing the legal profession that deserves more attention?
The shift to remote work in our industry creates unique challenges to mentorship and skill development for junior associates by reducing spontaneous workplace interactions and informal training. To overcome this, it is crucial that senior attorneys foster regular communication through video conferencing and an accessible, open-door policy for routine inquiries and discussions.
How do you balance legal expertise with client service and relationship-building?
My practice is built on a foundation of subject matter knowledge and proactive client engagement. I focus on aligning legal advice with practical solutions, framing complex issues in the context of business risks, and empowering clients to make informed decisions. Through regular communication, early case assessments, and careful expectation management, I strive to minimize uncertainty and make clients feel both legally protected and truly valued.
