What changes in the legal industry do you believe will have the biggest impact on clients over the next few years?
The biggest change will be the integration of AI into legal practice. AI will allow attorneys to analyze documents, conduct research, and manage discovery more efficiently, reducing costs and turnaround times for clients. While AI will not replace experienced lawyers, it will enable us to focus more on strategy, judgment and client counseling.
What is one challenge currently facing the legal profession that deserves more attention?
One challenge that deserves more attention is how the legal profession and judiciary adapt to the rapid advancement of AI. While AI can improve efficiency, reduce costs and expand access to information, it also raises concerns about accuracy, bias, confidentiality and the unauthorized practice of law. Courts, attorneys and regulators must develop thoughtful standards that encourage innovation while preserving the integrity of the legal system and public confidence in judicial decision-making.
How do you balance legal expertise with client service and relationship-building?
I view legal expertise and client service as inseparable. Clients hire lawyers not only for legal knowledge, but also for practical guidance, responsiveness and sound judgment. I focus on understanding each client’s business objectives, communicating clearly and providing actionable advice. Strong relationships are built through trust, accessibility and consistently delivering results that align legal strategy with the client’s broader goals.
