Where do you see the most untapped potential for development in the Rochester region?

From a development perspective, I see substantial untapped potential in addressing the housing shortage through scalable, attainable housing initiatives. Rochester has the land, infrastructure and demand to support meaningful residential growth, particularly for first-time buyers who are increasingly underserved in today’s market. There’s also significant potential for thoughtful residential development that expands housing supply while maintaining quality and long-term community value.

What’s one challenge in today’s market that keeps you up at night?

Talent retention and development remain top of mind. One thing I think about constantly is how to position the company not just for the next quarter, but for the next decade. The market is evolving quickly, and businesses that succeed will be the ones that help their people grow alongside the technology and operational changes happening around us.

How do you approach decision-making when facing uncertainty on a project?

My approach to decision-making during uncertainty is rooted in collaboration and transparency. The best outcomes usually come from bringing the right people to the table early, encouraging open communication, and making sure everyone understands both the challenges and the reasoning behind decisions. In our industry, uncertainty is unavoidable, but strong relationships, clear communication and a disciplined process help teams navigate it successfully.

Are there innovations you’ve adopted that have significantly improved efficiency or outcomes?

We’ve invested heavily in new technology and platform integration to create more connected and efficient workflows across the organization. Better access to real-time information and improved coordination between teams have helped strengthen both project execution and the client experience. Our focus is on using technology strategically to support smarter decision-making, improve efficiency and position the company for long-term growth.

If you could collaborate on any project in the region, what would it be?

If I could collaborate on any project in the Rochester region, it would be one that further strengthens the connection between our exceptional colleges and universities and our top-tier health care systems. These institutions have a significant positive impact on the region and play an important role in supporting Rochester’s steady and stable growth.
