CEO & President, Greenlight Networks

Years in current role: 15

What decision or strategic shift in 2025 had the greatest impact on your business?

The most impactful shift we made in 2025 was committing fully to integration and scale. Acquisitions like Loop and FastBridge and our organic expansion into Maryland moved us from a regional provider to a scalable, multi-state organization. We’ve launched a Transformation Office this year — changing how we lead, execute, and position Greenlight for long-term growth.

What developments in your industry are you watching most closely as you look ahead to the coming year?

In the FTTH industry, we’re watching three big shifts: rapid expansion of fiber networks through builds and acquisitions, next-gen PON tech enabling multi-gigabit speeds, and driving operational efficiency with automation and AI. As fiber becomes the norm, it’s less about coverage and more about how well we execute, innovate and serve customers.

How do you prioritize long-term innovation while ensuring operational excellence day to day?

As Greenlight expanded beyond Rochester, balancing innovation with daily execution became even more crucial — and more challenging. I’ve been fortunate to have a leadership team that truly owns operations, including talent we’ve integrated from Loop, and we expect the same with FastBridge. That trust in our team lets me focus on long-term growth and strategic opportunities.

What regional strengths do you believe position Rochester well for future growth?

Rochester’s strengths give it a solid footing for growth — depth of telecommunications talent from its legacy of successful telecom companies as well as its local universities, reasonable costs, and a collaborative local culture. Of course, the support of our local customers is what continues to drive our success.

What’s one interest or activity you hope to make more time for in the coming year?

This coming year, I’m really hoping to spend more time with my family — whether it’s family vacations or simply more quality time together, creating new memories.
