The building that serves as the home of Silo Social in Greece has been sold and the brunch specialty restaurant apparently is looking for a new location.
300 Paddy Creek LLC, an entity affiliated with Jeremiah’s Tavern, was the buyer, paying $2,555,000 for the 6,863-square-foot building and 1.999-acre parcel at 300 Paddy Creek Circle.
The Henrietta address on file with the New York Department of State for the purchasing limited liability company is the headquarters of Jeremiah’s Tavern. Officials for Jeremiah’s did not respond to inquiries.
The property sits along West Ridge Road, just to the west of an Olive Garden restaurant and near the on and off ramps to state Route 390.
P & R Land LLC, an affiliate of Braddock Land 1865 LLC, was the seller. Peter Causyn, who opened Silo Social in 2022 with his wife, Jessica Fredericks, signed the deed that was filed on Friday with the Monroe County Clerk‘s Office.
A Facebook post, as well as a note on the Silo Social doors, said the restaurant’s lease has expired and the building has been sold by the landlord. The post added that “this is not goodbye. We’re already moving quickly and working hard to find the right new space so we can reopen as soon as possible.”
Causyn did not immediately respond to a request for additional information. Braddock Land 1865 LLC bought the Paddy Creek Circle property for $2 million in May of 2022 from Munipro, Inc., the municipal development corporation for the town of Greece.
Jeremiah’s Tavern attempted to open a location at 751 Long Pond Rd. in Greece in 2018 but was denied a special use permit by the town planning board after area residents voiced opposition.
Jeremiah’s has three locations: Monroe Avenue in Rochester, Fairport Nine Mile Line Road in Penfield and Jefferson Road in Henrietta. The restaurant and bar has been a staple of Rochester nightlife and is famous for chicken wings. Owner Jeffrey Reddish abandoned efforts to open in Irondequoit on the site of the former Cooper Deli in 2024 following objections by preservationists.
The property originally was home to Don Pablo’s Mexican Kitchen, a now-defunct national chain. Rochester-based The Distillery operated at the location from 2006 until 2021, with Silo opening in 2022.
