Insero Advisors LLC has acquired another Rochester-based firm.
The accounting, tax and advisory services firm has acquired DeMott & Smith CPAs, which was founded in 1988. Financial details were not disclosed.
Insero employs roughly 150 workers in Rochester and Ithaca. The deal adds 12 employees to the firm, including two partners.
The acquisition will enhance Insero’s tax compliance and advisory solutions, expanding capacity and capabilities for clients, company leaders said.

Jason DeLaurentiis, who is joining Insero as a partner, said the two firms share similar values and a commitment to client service.
