Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is expanding its presence in Ontario County, with a new store opening in Geneva next month.
The new retail location, in a building that formerly housed Tops Friendly Markets at 381 Hamilton St., will have a grand opening on Aug. 8.
The Geneva store marks the organization’s 14th retail location across its 20-county footprint in upstate New York, with plans for continued growth.
In Ontario County, Goodwill also operates stores and donation centers in Victor at Eastview Mall and in Canandaigua.
“We are thrilled to join the Geneva community and give a new life to this wonderful retail location,” said Jennifer Lake, Goodwill of the Finger Lakes’ president and CEO. “When you donate or shop at Goodwill, you give things a second life and are embracing value, versatility and sustainability in every purchase.”
All proceeds from the sales of the store go back into the community, supporting programs such as 211/LIFE LINE and 988 Suicide Hotline, she added.
