Nominations are now being accepted for the 40th annual ATHENA Leadership Awards hosted by the Ontario County Chamber of Commerce.
The ATHENA Awards honor individuals whose leadership uplifts both their professions and their communities, while actively assisting women in realizing their leadership potential.
There are two categories: the ATHENA Leadership Award and the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award (for nominees ages 45 and younger).
The winners will be announced at a dinner on Thursday, Nov. 13 at Finger Lakes Community College.
“The 40th anniversary of the Ontario County ATHENA Leadership Awards is a testament to our community’s commitment to honoring and celebrating exemplary leadership, authentic relationships and meaningful collaboration,” said Tracey Fuller, ATHENA steering committee chair and 2011 ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award recipient.
Nominees must demonstrate excellence, creativity, and initiative in their profession; provide valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in their community and actively assist women in achieving their full leadership potential.
Nominations must be submitted by Friday, July 25. Finalists will be announced Aug. 1.
