Lollypop’s Tails of Hope Telethon raises over $545,000 for pets in need

, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, held the 27th annual Telethon this past weekend, raising $545,050 to support the organization’s mission to better the lives of animals through justice, prevention and life-saving care. 

The telethon, presented by Hoselton Auto Mall, took place from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 8. It featured stories of pets saved, live interviews with experts and supporters, and meet and greets with some of Lollypop Farm’s pets. 

“We are thankful for the support our community provides to help homeless and abused animals,” said Alice Calabrese, Lollypop Farm president and CEO. “These donations are vital in providing veterinary services, nutritious food, community programs and care for thousands of pets.” 

Additionally, the organization is in the midst of its Kindness for All Kind capital campaign, which has raised over $20 million and includes the creation of the Karpus Family Foundation Learning Center, farmyard renovations, infrastructure improvements and facility renovations that modernize care.
