In order to keep up with a demand for fleet and distributor network services, Ranger Design will move its manufacturing operations from the town of Ontario to the Xerox Corp. campus in January.
Global commercial real estate and investment management firm JLL brokered the lease of just over 151,000 square feet of space in Building 200 to Ranger Design. The company creates customized shelving, racking and partitions for commercial vehicles.
Building 200 at 700 Resende Road is owned by Tessy Plastics Corp. of Skaneateles (Onondaga County). Tessy paid $26 million for buildings 200, 210 and 214 in July of 2022 with the intention of expanding its own operations to Webster while also leasing space to other companies.
Tessy occupies all of Building 214 and is leasing the other two properties. Founded in 1973, Tessy is a custom contract manufacturer specializing in plastics processing, complex assembly, precision tooling, and automation design and build.
Ranger Design will be using just under 20 percent of the 768,475 square feet available in Building 200. The single-story property features ceiling heights between 16 and 24 feet as well as weather-protected bay doors.
JLL is marketing the remaining space in Building 200, as well as the 194,653 square feet of space in Building 210. Building 210 has 14 interior-bay and dock-high doors along with 25-foot clear ceilings.
“Ownership has a track record of astute investment in well-located assets,” James Panczykowski, head of JLL’s Northeast Industrial team, said in a news release. “The Webster campus provides an ideal location for manufacturing and distribution companies looking to access robust in-place infrastructure, outstanding parking ratios and ultra-flexible demising capabilities.”
