Lollypop Farm receives significant funding from New York State
Lollypop Farm has surpassed the $20 million milestone for its Kindness for All Kind Campaign after Assemblymember Jen Lunsford helped secure $5 million in state funding.
Kindness for All Kind is a regeneration initiative intended to elevate Lollypop Farm into one of the nation’s leading community-based animal welfare and education centers.
“We are grateful for the state’s support and appreciate the advocate we have found in Assemblymember Lundsford,” Lollypop Farm president and CEO Alice Calabrese said in a news release. “This funding allows us to move forward and build a better Lollypop Farm to better serve our community’s growing needs.
“We envision a brighter future for animals and a kinder, more compassionate future for our entire community.”
Established in 1873, Perinton-based Lollypop Farm is the largest animal welfare organization in the Greater Rochester area. The independent nonprofit organization is supported through contributions, grants, investments, proceeds from retail sales and fees for programs and services.
