John Betlem Heating & Cooling, Inc., has donated and installed a ductless heat pump system for the new classroom and offices of EquiCenter.

EquiCenter is a nonprofit that provides therapeutic services to individuals of all ages with disabilities, veterans and at-risk youth. The organization’s mission is to foster growth, wellness and educational opportunities through equestrian, horticultural and outdoor experiences.

John Betlem collaborated with Carrier Northeast, to provide the system, part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the community.

“We recognize the vital role the EquiCenter plays in enriching the lives of those it serves, and we are thrilled to contribute to the growth of such an impactful organization,” Jim Betlem, president and operations manager at John Betlem, said in a news release.

The heat pump system will provide efficient heating and cooling for the expanded facility.

“Having a climate-controlled classroom space will allow us to offer a variety of opportunities to many populations of participants comfortably,” Sara McLaughlin, director of equine assisted learning. “A heated/air conditioned classroom is something we have always dreamed about, and Betlem helped make it a reality.”
