
Former state Senator and Assemblymember Joe Robach been named president and CEO of the Greece Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Robach represented New York’s 56th Senate District from 2003 until his retirement in 2020. His political career in Albany began in 1991, when he succeeded his late father, Roger, in the Assembly, holding the seat through 2002 as a member of the Democratic Party.
Robach, 66, serves on various boards and also is a consultant for the Monroe County Republican Party. He is a graduate of Aquinas Institute and SUNY Brockport.
“I was honored and pleased to be chosen to lead the Greece Chamber of Commerce,” Robach said in a news release. “This will allow me to continue my life’s work on promoting businesses, public safety and our great community of Greece.”
Robach succeeds Sarah Lentini, who retired at the end of February following 10 years at the helm of the organization.
“Joe is a lifelong Greece resident and former state Senator who has always worked to improve our community,” said Dave Perotto, immediate past chair of the Chamber board. “His intimate knowledge of the people and businesses make him the perfect fit to lead the Greece Chamber of Commerce.
“As a board member, I am excited to collaborate with him to continue to enhance local business and the community at large.”
