Lollypop Farm telethon raised nearly $500,000 for pets in need
Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, raised nearly $500,000 this past weekend at its 28th Annual Tails of Hope Telethon.
The telethon – presented by Hoselton Auto Mall – supports the organization’s mission to better the lives of animals through justice, prevention and life-saving care.
It featured stories of pets saved, live interviews with experts and supporters and meet and greets with some of Lollypop Farm’s adoptable pets.
“We are thankful for the support our community provides to help homeless, at-risk and abused animals,” said Alice Calabrese, president and CEO of Lollypop Farm. “These funds are vital in providing veterinary services, nutritious food, community programs and care for thousands of pets.”
Lollypop Farm – which celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2023 – cares for roughly 10,000 animals each year. The organization employs roughly 115 staff members and has more than 800 volunteers.
Last year, Lollypop kicked off a $20 million fundraising campaign, to upgrade its local site and enhance its services.
