The Rochester Hispanic Business Association (RHBA) is now an affiliate of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), a network of more than 250 organizations.
The USHCC is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization that partners with more than 260 major corporations and receives more than $200 million in annual funding.
The goal of the national chamber, as well as the RHBA, is to empower communities by providing resources and adding value to members. The USHCC aims to build a bridge between corporate America and the 4.37 million Hispanic-owned businesses across the country.
“As the mission of the RHBA is to promote the economic growth and development of Hispanic-owned businesses and Hispanic professionals in the Greater Rochester area, we believe our two organizations align perfectly,” Lisa Martinez DeVinney, chairperson of the RHBA, said in a news release.
Synthia Jaramillo, senior vice president of corporate relations for the USHCC, will be the keynote speaker at the 32nd annual Hispanic Business Person of the Year luncheon on Sept. 19 at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
