IWG will open a Regus flexible workspace location in Henrietta, the brand’s second location in the Rochester area.
The new Regus will be located at 2250 Brighton-Henrietta Townline Rd. in a Flaum Management building. The company also operates a location at Clinton Square in downtown Rochester.
The expansion is part of IWG’s strategy to capitalize on what it believes will be a continuation of migration toward co-work spaces. IWG founder and CEO Mark Dixon calls it the Great Lease Resignation, with companies finding savings with long-term hybrid work models.
“We will see the Great Lease Resignation of traditional office space continue and the growing appeal of shared office and co-working spaces as a much more attractive alternative,” Dixon said in a news release.
IWG, headquartered in Switzerland, operates four co-work brands in the United States — Regus, Signature, HQ and Spaces — with more than 1,110 locations. Regus locations offer private offices, co-working and collaboration spaces, meeting rooms and tech services, including IT support.
“Over the past two and a half years, demand for hybrid working solutions has rapidly increased as workers enjoy a significantly improved work/life balance with less time spent commuting and employers benefitting from substantial cost savings and the ability to recruit from a wider pool of talent,” Dixon said.
