The Rochester Business Journal has announced 23 recipients of the 2021 Icon Honors awards.

Established in 2017, Icon Honors recognizes Rochester business leaders, over the age of 60, for their notable success and demonstration of strong leadership within and outside their fields. The honorees have moved their businesses and Rochester forward by growing jobs and making a difference in the community.

To be eligible for Icon Honors, honorees (over the age of 60) must have a long-standing commitment to the Rochester business community and significant professional accomplishments through innovation and leadership. Honorees must also be champions of their industries and demonstrate a sustained commitment to community service. They may be in the workforce or retired and must hold or have held senior management-level positions with significant authority in decision-making for their organization.

“This year’s Icon Honors awardees are impressive leaders who make a difference in Rochester and beyond. They are actively engaged in the community and mentor other leaders as well,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, senior group publisher of the Rochester Business Journal. “Each of our honorees has qualities we all aspire to emulate and accomplishments we admire. We at the Rochester Business Journal are pleased to recognize this year’s recipients.”

The honorees will be recognized during an online celebration Dec. 6 from noon to 1 p.m. Each will be celebrated for their achievements through video storytelling. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in the program with their congratulations and cheers using social media platforms from their homes or offices. For tickets, visit rbj.net/events/icon-honors/. The event hashtag is #RBJevents.

A happy hour for honorees and sponsors will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Genesee Valley Club, 321 East Ave. in Rochester.

Honorees will be profiled in a magazine that will be inserted into the Dec. 10 issue of the Rochester Business Journal and will be available online at rbj.net.

The Awards Sponsor is Mower.
