The Greece Chamber Charitable Foundation has awarded scholarships to three students at Rochester Regional Health’s Isabella Graham Hart School of Practical Nursing.

Terrajah Nelson, Christine Seeger and Shaniqua Williams each received a $1,000 scholarship from the foundation’s Daniel E. Richardson Memorial Fund.

“The Greece Chamber Charitable Foundation was established to support programs that prepare individuals for success in education and business,” Michael Mordenga, president of the foundation, said in a news release. “These scholarships are consistent with the foundation’s objectives and will help these students pursue their careers in nursing, while filling critical needs in our healthcare system and community.”

The Isabella Graham Hart School of Practical Nursing has added a registered nurse program to its curriculum and is creating a new home in what was Macy’s in the old Medley Centre in Irondequoit.

“I was thrilled to learn of this new partnership between the Greece Chamber Charitable Foundation and the Isabella Graham Hart School of Practical Nursing,” said Deborah Stamps, chief nursing education and diversity, equity and inclusion officer at Rochester Regional Health. “It is the first of its kind to provide financial support specifically for a student in the Greece area or Unity Hospital community.  Greater support for our students means greater care for our community.”
