
dt ogilvie, Mayor Lovely Warren’s senior advisor on economic development and urban entrepreneurship with the city of Rochester, will receive the YES Entrepreneurship Service award.
The award recognizes’s ogilvie’s role “in promoting and championing youth entrepreneurship and community development” and is given by Young Entrepreneurz Solutions of Newark, N.J. YES teaches entrepreneurial and economic development skills to youth across the nation and in the Caribbean.
“dt has helped young people start and grow businesses by providing key mentorship, guidance and networking opportunities to help them succeed,” Ernest Ruffin, YES executive director, said in a news release.
ogilvie is on loan to the city from Rochester Institute of Technology’s Saunders College of Business. She serves on the board of directors of the Rochester Economic Development Corp (REDCO) and represents the city on the ROC 2025 economic development alliance member of the leadership group and marketing committee.
She is a distinguished professor of urban entrepreneurship and former dean and professor of business strategy at Saunders College of Business, and founder of the Center for Urban Entrpreneurship.
