Phase Two of the 96-unit Azalea Village has been completed in the Town of Webster and will provide housing to seniors 55 and older.

The $21.6 million affordable housing community consists of two identical, two-story buildings. Apartments are available for a mix of income levels, ranging from 30 percent to 80 percent of the area median income.

Rents range from $385 to $954 and include utilities at the complex at 975 Abigayle Way.

“Quality and affordable housing is critical to the health and well-being of every New Yorker, especially our seniors,” Gov. Andrew Cuomo said in a news release. “This new development will not only provide a vibrant and supportive community for older adults, it will also serve as a smart investment in the area that moves the local economy and the Finger Lakes forward.”

Azalea residents can take advantage of the adjacent Wolf Life Transitions Center, which provides recreation, training, employment and volunteer opportunities, as well as indoor pool therapy.

The apartment community was created through the joint efforts of CDS Life Transitions and Community Preservation Corp.

“Azalea Village is more than housing, it’s a home and an opportunity for the people of this community who need it and deserve it most,” Sankar Sewnauth, president and CEO of CDS Life Transitions, said. “Our vision and integrated stewardship of CDS Housing will provide some of the most vulnerable community members in Webster with the life opportunities and self-empowerment to live more fulfilling and independent lives.”
