CEO Snyder departs from High Falls Brewing

Norman Snyder Jr., hired in 2007 to try to grow the struggling High Falls Brewing Co. LLC, has left the company, two weeks after it was announced that High Falls would be acquired by New York City private equity firm KPS Capital Partners L.P.
A representative at High Falls said Wednesday that Snyder no longer works for the brewery.
Representatives of KPS did not respond to a request for comment late Wednesday afternoon. Reached on his cell phone, Snyder would not confirm or deny his departure.
Snyder was named president and CEO in January 2007.
High Falls has been in financial straits for several years. The news that KPS, with $1.8 billion in capital, would acquire the brewery and Buffalo-based Labatt USA, seemed to breathe new life into the Rochester brewery and its 375 workers.
“With the acquisition of High Falls, we purchased one of the largest independent breweries in the United States, with exceptional brewing capabilities, a committed workforce and a nationwide distribution network,” KPS partner Raquel Palmer said in a Feb. 23 statement.
North American Breweries Inc. has been formed as the holding company for High Falls and Labatt USA, and as the licensee for the Seagram’s Co. Ltd. wine coolers and malt beverages made at High Falls.
