LaBella adds environmental expertise with acquisition of New Jersey firm

Headquartered in Somerset, Prestige Environmental is an environmental consulting firm specializing in municipal and regulatory work. The firm provides environmental due diligence, waste management and remediation across public-sector projects.
The acquisition not only allows LaBella to offer New Jersey clients with a local team, but the ever-growing Rochester-based multidisciplinary firm now has deepened municipal relationships and expanded environmental services offerings in the tri-state region.
“Prestige’s strong municipal relationships and environmental expertise complement our existing capabilities and support our continued growth in the tri-state area,” Jeff Roloson, LaBella’s president, said in a news release.
“Expanding into New Jersey is a meaningful step as we continue to enhance how we serve clients across the region with local expertise and broad resources.”
With offices in 14 states and more than 2,000 multi-disciplinary consultants, LaBella brings clients expertise in infrastructure, buildings, environmental and energy projects throughout the eastern U.S., United Kingdom and Spain.
Prestige Environmental was founded in 1993 and employs a team of experienced engineers, geologists and environmental professionals well-versed in navigating complex regulatory environments to deliver community-focused projects.
“Joining LaBella enables us to build on the foundation we’ve created while offering our clients additional resources and capabilities,” said Girish Mehta, principal engineer at Prestige Environmental.
This is LaBella’s eighth acquisition across various sectors — including architecture, surveying and environmental — in the past 41 months.
