Gallina owns and manages approximately 3.5 million square feet of commercial space in over 85 buildings and seven office parks in and around Monroe County.

Founder, Angelo P. Gallina, recognized the need and demand for housing when he began his career in construction in the 1950s. He began with a carpentry crew and soon began building homes under his own company. There are currently four family members involved in the business. Andrew R. Gallina is President and Lauren Gallina Payne, Rob Gallina and Evan Gallina are all active Partners in the business.

Through Andrew Gallina’s leadership, the business made major strides in the 1990s by creating a flex product that offered many companies the ability to customize their spaces based on their needs. “This allowed our tenants to grow with us and provided the flexibility they needed.”

The past 10 years have been a time of significant growth for the company, and the company expects that to continue with the next generation. Gallina Development continues to own and manage a diverse portfolio of real estate holdings in and around the Rochester region.

GDC not only invests in the local community through the value that is created through development but also is an active participant in several nonprofits and philanthropic causes throughout the region. Gallina supports United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes, The Center for Youth, Rochester Regional Health, Memorial Art Gallery, YMCA of Greater Rochester, Nazareth University, Al Sigl Community of Agencies, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Vertus High School, and Leadership Rochester.
