Dixon Schwabl + Company is an independent and integrated marketing firm that combines creative vision with media precision to provoke progress for our clients.

Lauren Dixon partnered with Mike Schwabl nearly 40 years ago to found DS+CO as a way to make a living by helping clients uncover their business problem and using impactful storytelling as the solution.

Now with 76 employees, DS+CO evolved by adopting agile project management tools and issue-tracking systems and software. The agency now integrates AI to streamline workflows, boost efficiency and support smarter decision-making. “These innovations give our team the space to focus on what matters most — client service, creativity and strategy.”

Today, five members of the family are involved in the business. Dixon and Schwabl have transitioned into board chair roles, while Connor Dixon-Schwabl (son) is managing director of studio production, Jordan Dixon (son) is managing director of office and property management/procurement, and Madison Como (daughter) is executive assistant.

As DS+CO looks to adapt to future trends, it has added a chief transformation officer and a chief growth officer to the leadership team. “From AI disruption and talent retention to shifting consumer behavior, we’re evolving to meet the moment, drive impact and lead with purpose in a fast-changing marketing landscape.”

Charitable giving has also been important to DS+CO, which supports youth, education and social services including Daystar Kids, Golisano Children’s Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, Monroe Community College, Rochester Hope, St. John Fisher University, United Way, and Rochester Hope, among others.
