What opportunities do you see for growth or development in the Rochester area?
Rochester possesses a significant opportunity to build upon its distinguished legacy in technology and manufacturing. Strategic investments in sectors such as semiconductor fabrication, photonics, medical device production, and other advanced manufacturing industries have the potential to catalyze a new era of economic growth. Realizing this potential will also require expansion of educational initiatives — both at the collegiate level and through apprenticeships and experiential training programs — to cultivate the next generation of engineers, researchers and technicians who will be integral to the continued success of these industries.
What’s one project your team is especially proud of?
At LeChase, we take great pride in every project we undertake. We are privileged to offer our services and contribute to a diverse range of business sectors, encompassing organizations of varying sizes and types. As a community-centered builder, we recognize that every project, in its own unique way, contributes to the vitality of the communities where our families live, work and thrive. We are truly honored to play a role in that impact. We stand firmly behind the quality of the projects we deliver and are committed to fostering enduring partnerships with our clients and within our communities.
What’s a lesson you learned the hard way in your career?
One of the most valuable lessons I have learned throughout my career is that striving for perfection can sometimes create unrealistic expectations and foster an environment where individuals are hesitant to take risks for fear of failure. In reality, mistakes are inevitable and serve as essential opportunities for growth. What truly matters is how one responds. It is important to (A) identify and acknowledge the mistake, (B) take full ownership of the issue, (C) develop and implement an effective solution, and (D) apply the lessons learned to future endeavors. By adopting this approach, individuals and teams can cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, resilience and mutual trust.
