What was the most significant challenge your organization faced in 2024, and how did you address it?
The real estate industry in 2024 and continuing in 2025 faces a limited availability of lenders and credit. Owners must work very closely with their existing lenders.
What trends or innovations in your industry do you anticipate having the biggest impact in 2025?
The emergence of interactive retail is an existing trend which is important to stay on top of. The continuing closures of traditional department stores and some big box retailers is a significant challenge.
What role do you see Rochester playing in your organization’s growth over the next few years?
Rochester represents a very stable market with both population and household income. This is attractive to many retailers.
What community initiatives or partnerships are you most excited about engaging with this year?
We are excited to be working with Ontario County and the town of Victor in re-leasing the Lord & Taylor store at Eastview Mall. We are working with Monroe County and the town of Greece and New York state on re-tenanting a portion of Greece Ridge Center.
How do you balance fostering innovation while managing day-to-day business operations?
We are always looking for new concepts which bring excitement and focus on interactive exchanges with the customer. Managing day-to-day operations requires teamwork and a desire to produce the best outcome possible.
