Leadership Ontario kicks off third cohort

The third class of Ontario County’s Leadership Ontario recently kicked off with a two-day retreat at 4-H Camp Bristol Hills.

Leadership Ontario is a public-private collaboration between government, business and nonprofits to facilitate the growth and development of Ontario County’s leaders.

Ontario County is the founding sponsor of the program, which is administered by the Ontario County Chamber of Commerce and The Partnership for Ontario County. Canandaigua National Bank is the presenting sponsor.

Twenty-two professionals are participating in the cohort.

The participants build professional connections, refine their leadership skills and gain important knowledge about Ontario County by attending 12 program days held at locations across the county over a year.

In addition to leadership development, topics are on key focus areas like tourism, economic development, education, agriculture, local government and community health.
