Young Entrepreneurs Academy opens location at Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) will open a flagship location at Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship to provide middle and high school students with a weekly entrepreneurship education class beginning in November.

The collaboration provides YEA! with a state-of-the-art location, support from Golisano Institute faculty, guest speakers and events and scholarships for its students.

Proponents say the program will enhance business education for students and provide a unique, challenging and fulfilling experience for all participants.

“We are excited about launching this expansion at Golisano Institute given Tom Golisano’s tremendous success as an entrepreneur, business and community leader and philanthropist.” said YEA! Founder and CEO Gayle Jagel.

YEA! is currently accepting applications for the 2024 class hosted at Golisano Institute in Brighton. Classes begin in November and meet once a week after school from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Tuesday through early June. Class does not meet during school breaks or holiday recess.

Tuition for the class is $995 and includes materials, books and field trip transportation. Scholarships are available and are based on need and merit.

A $100 tuition waiver is available for children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews of Rochester Institute of Technology, Golisano Institute and University of Rochester faculty, staff and alumni.
