Black Bird Design has already had three different addresses since the printing and signage firm was founded in 2015, but co-owner Brady Fogle believes he has now found a forever home.

Fogle and his wife and business partner Melissa, through Common Crow Properties, LLC, have purchased a flex property at 1867 Mt. Hope Ave. in the city of Rochester, just north of Interstate 390.

Common Crow Properties paid $675,000 to 1867 Mt. Hope, LLC, an entity managed by Ernest Guillet, according to documents filed with the Monroe County Clerk’s office. There are two buildings on the property, both about 7,000 square feet.

Black Bird Design will relocate to the new address this summer and occupy one of the buildings. The firm will lease the second building.

Black Bird currently leases about 7,000 square feet of space at 2144 Brighton-Henrietta Townline Rd. from Flaum Management.

“Our lease is up in July and Flaum has been great, but I just couldn’t see leasing again and then maybe having to move again,” Brady Fogle said.

The purchase will allow Black Bird to build real estate equity and the additional space will  accommodate future growth.

Black Bird Design does apparel printing, signage and contract printing. “Business has stayed pretty steady,” Fogle said. “We grow a little bit every year, which is more than we could ask for.”

Before moving to Brighton, the company has been headquartered in the city on Avenue A and then on Hollenbeck Street.
