What are your priorities for 2023?

I remain committed to advancing solutions that primarily fall into three categories: lowering costs and improving quality of life for families, growing our local economy, and strengthening public safety. In this Congress, I look forward to collaborating with my partners on the other side of the aisle in a bipartisan way to pass legislation that creates a better future for everyone who calls Rochester home.

What advice would you give young professionals in the Rochester business community?

Small businesses are the backbone of our community, and we are blessed to have so many talented and hard-working entrepreneurs and young professionals. I would encourage young people in the business community to keep open minds and seek a collaborative approach — and most importantly, listen and learn as much as possible from those around you. Rochester’s business community is second to none, and I look forward to seeing its continued growth and success.

What do you think will be different about the Rochester community in five years?

In five years, I believe we will see continued progress within our community. I hope to see our regional economy flourishing, particularly as we strengthen our place as a leader in high-tech innovation. I also hope to see a reduction in poverty and gun violence, which have plagued our community for too long. I look forward to utilizing my role in Congress to help make these changes a reality.
